31st October:
Lewis: 11 Snow Buntings were at the Butt and 4 were at Port of Ness cemetery.
North Uist: A drake American Wigeon was seen at Loch Aileodair this morning. A Woodcock was in Carinish.
South Uist: The Lesser Yellowlegs was on the Range just south of Ardivachar. At least 3 White-rumped Sandpipers are at Ardivachar. A White-rumped Sandpiper was seen opposite Oronsay. A Pectoral Sandpiper was at LA2. 25-30 Siskins and a Woodcock were at North Loch Eynort. A Chiffchaff was at South Loch Eynort.

30th October:
Lewis: A Snow Bunting was seen at Eoropie and a Wheatear was at the Butt. 2 Woodcocks and 5 Feildfare were in Suoth Dell. A Sooty Shearwater was seen a couple of miles east of Stornoway.
Harris: A drake Surf Scoter was in the Sound of Taransay along with 220 Common Scoters, 225 Eiders, 130 Long-tailed Ducks and 21 Slavonian Grebes. 4 Snow Buntings were in the dunes at Luskentyre.
North Uist: 40 - 50 Fieldfares flew south-east over Carinish this morning. 22 Fieldfares flew south-east over Scotvein, Grimsay this morning. 7 Two-barred Crossbills were at Langass Wood again today along with 200+ Siskins, 2 Bramblings and 2 Fieldfare. A juvenile dark-bellied Brent Goose, juvenile Greenland White-fronted Goose, 2 Pink-footed Geese and a Canada Goose were seen along with 835 Barnacle Geese and 369 Greylags on Berneray today.
Benbecula: A Black Redstart was seen at Balivanich hospital today.
South Uist: The Lesser Yellowlegs was seen on pool at the north end of the Range. A Pectoral Sandpiper was at LA2. A Scaup, 43 Long-tailed Ducks and 3 Black-tailed Godwits were seen at Ardvule today; also a Common Scoter flew south there. A White-rumped Sandpiper was at Ardivachar.
Barra: 3 Siberian Chiffchaffs were on the island today. The Ring-necked Duck was on Loch Tangasdale. The 2nd yr Iceland Gull was at Craigston. A Tree Sparrow was seen again today along with 80 Fieldfare.
Marine Sightings: 30 Common Dolphins were seen off Lochmaddy in the morning.

29th October:
Ullapool - Stornoway: 6 Bonxies and around 420 Kittiwakes were seen from the ferry this afternoon.
Harris: 6 Waxwings and 6 Snow Buntings were reported flying over Beinn Dubh near luskentyre today.
North Uist: 7 Two-barred Crossbills were at Langass Wood this morning; also around 70 Siskins and a Brambling. 40+ Fieldfare flew south at Langass and around 100 dropped in for a while before heading south. A Kinfisher was in Lochmaddy; also 50 Siskins, a Brambling, 2 Chiffchaff and a male Blackcap.
South Uist: A juvenile White-rumped Sandpiper was at Ardivachar. A Tree Sparrow was in South Glendale.
Barra: A Ring-necked Duck was on Loch Tangasdale. The Red-breasted Flycatcher was at Castlebay. A Siberian Chiffchaff was at Creachan. 6 Woodcock and 120+ Siskins were on the island.
Marine Sightings: 9 Common Dolphins and 3 Harbour Porpoise were seen from the Ullapool - Stornoway ferry this afternoon.

28th October:
Lewis: 11 Waxwings were in Stornoway.
North Uist: 5 Two-barred Crossbills and at last 200 Siskins were in Langass Wood today.
South Uist: A White-rumped Sandpiper was at Ardvule; also 3 Black-tailed Godwits there and a Common Scoter flew south.
Barra: The Red-breasted Flycatcher was in Castlebay. A Waxwing was at Nasg. A Siberian Chiffchaff, 2 Chiffchaffs, 5 Blackcaps, 12 Common Redpolls and 2 Siskins were at Creachan.

27th October:
Lewis: 2 Snow Buntings were seen at the Butt. 15 Waxwings were seen feeding on an apple tree in Urquhart Gardens, Stornoway today. 8 Greenland White-fronted Geese were seen at Loch Ordais today.
North Uist: The Snow Goose was seen at Knockintorran today.
Barra: The Red-breasted Flycatcher was in Castlebay still. A Siberian Chiffchaff was at Eoligarry and another was at Creachan.

26th October:
North Uist: A Snow Goose was amongst the Greylags on the machair at Balermore this afternoon; also a Pink-footed Goose there.
South Uist: Birds heading south at Ardvule today included 2 Great Northern Divers, 5 Red-throated Divers, 24 Long-tailed Duck, 20 Wigeon, 78 Kittiwakes while 2 Pale-bellied Brent and 7 Barnacle Geese flew north. Also present today 1 female Scaup, 1 female Gadwall and 2 Lapland Buntings.

25th October:
Lewis: A Swallow was seen by Lews Castle, Stornoway today.
S. Kilda: The female Snowy Owl was seen in the village on Hirta; also 30 Snow Buntings were on the island.
North Uist: A Snow Goose was seen at Loch Paible today.
South Uist: The Lesser Yellowlegs and at least 2 White-rumped Sandpipers were at Ardivachar this morning. A Leach's Petrel flew south at Ardvule this morning along with 8 Great Northern Divers, 5 Red-throated Divers and 88 Kittiwakes. A Little Egret was seen on the loch by Hebridean Jewellery this morning.
Barra: The Red-breasted Flycatcher was in Castlebay. A Tree Sparrow was at Brevig. 5 Bramblings, a Chiffchaff and 6 Blackcaps were at Creachan.
24th October:
Lewis: 42 Waxwings were seen in Stornoway. 20 Whooper Swans were on Loch Ordais. 6 Snow Buntings were at Labost. 7 Snow Buntings and 275 Redwings were at the Butt.
Harris: 5 Whooper Swans were seen at Loch Miavaig, North Harris.
North Uist: 24 Whooper Swans flew south over Carinish this afternoon.
South UIst: A Lesser Yellowlegs and 7 White-rumped Sandpipers were at Ardivachar. A White-rumped Sandpiper was also in North Bay. 36 Whooper Swans flew south through South Glendale this evening. 52 Gannets, 10 Red-throated Divers, 3 Great Northern Divers, 16 Kittiwakes, 25 Black-headed Gulls, 6 Long-tailed Duck and 6 Gadwall flew south at Ardvule this morning.
Barra: A Red-breasted Flycatcher and 2 Waxwings were seen in Castlebay this morning.

23rd October:
Lewis: 60+ Whooper Swans are on the flooded machair north of Loch Stiapabhat today.
Harris: 4 Whooper Swans were seen near Laxdale today.
Barra: The Ring-necked Duck and 15 Whooper Swans were at Tangasdale. The Iceland Gull was at Craigston.
22nd October:
Lewis: A White-rumped Sandpiper was seen on the roadside pools near the Butt at 12:50 but had moved on by mid-afternoon. 165 Redwings were at the Butt today. 7 Bramblings were in South Dell.
South Uist: 8 White-rumped Sandpiper were seen at Ardivachar this afternoon.
Barra: 2 Waxwings were briefly at Brevig. A Yellow-browed Warbler was at Creachan and the Ring-necked Duck was at Tangasdale.

21st October:
Lewis: 32 Snow Buntings (in 2 flocks) flew south past the Butt between 12:20 and 12:30.
North UIst: The Cackling Geese pair were south of Loch Paible today.
South Uist: 11 White-rumped Sandpipers and a Pectoral Sandpiper were reported from Ardivachar.
Insects: 3 Angle Shades, 5 Brindled Ochre, 5 Small Wainscot and a Pearly Underwing were trapped in South Glendale last night. An Acleris hyemana, Blastobasis lacticolella, 9 Grey Pine Carpet, 1 Autumn Green Carpet, 2 Red Sword-grass and an Angle Shades were caught at Loch Eynort.

20th October:
Lewis: A White-rumped Sandpiper was at Loch Ordais this morning.
North Uist: 28 Whooper Swans were on Oban a Chlachain. 24 Whooper Swans flew south at Claddach Baleshare. A Brambling and Common Redpoll were in Carinish.
Bnebecula: A female Blackcap and 70 Redwings were in a garden at Torlum. 35 - 40 Whooper Swans dropped in at Linniclate late morning.
South Uist: 7 White-rumped Sandpipers were at Ardivachar this morning. 2 Lapland Buntings were seen at West Gerinish. A Waxwing, 5 Fieldfares, a Ring Ouzel, Treecreeper, 10 Bramblings and 2 Chiffchaff were seen at North Loch Eynort. 4 Waxwings were seen in Lochboisdale early evening. 3 Bramblings and 2 Blackaps were in Bornish.
Barra: The juvenile Ring-necked Duck is still at Tangasdale. 85 Fieldfare were on the island.

19th October:
North Uist: A Cackling Goose was seen at Loch Paible amongst Barnacle Geese; also Snow Goose present.
South Uist: 11 White-rumped Sandpipers were seen at Ardivachar at high tide this morning. A Pectoral Sandpiper was on the Range at LA2. A Little Egret was on the South Ford and later, Loch Bee. 2 White-rumped Sandpipers were at Kilpheder. A Yellow-browed Warbler, Treecreeper, around 10 Barmblings and Ca. 40 - 50 Fieldfare were at North Loch Eynort. 40 Fieldfares were seen at Druidibeg where 7 Pink-footed Geese flew south-east and 20 Barnacle Geese flew south this morning.

18th October:
Lewis: A Waxwing was in Port of Ness. 8 Snow Buntings were seen at Tiumpan Head.
North UIst: A Snow Goose, Jack Snipe and Swallow were at Rubh' Arnal / Balemore. A Chiffchaff and Blackcap were at Knockintorran. A Fieldfare were at Langass Lodge. A Wheatear was on the north side of Grimsay this morning. A Lesser Whitethroat and Garden Warbler were in Lochmaddy. 30+ Barnacle Geese flew south and 24 Pink-footed Geese flew south-east over Carinish this evening.
South Uist: A 1st winter Red-breasted Flycatcher, Yellow-browed Warbler, Chiffchaff, 6 Bramblings and 150 Redwings were in Bornish. A female Blackcap and 8 Feildfare were in South Glendale. 2 White-rumped Sandpipers were seen at Ardivachar.
Barra: At least 8 Yellow-browed Warblers were seen on the island today. The Red-breasted Flycatcher is still at Morghan; also 11 Blackcaps, 7 Chiffchaffs and a Lesser Whitethroat.
Insects: 6 Silver-Y moths were caught in Carinish last night.

17th October:
Lewis: A Swallow was seen in Ness today. 11 Snow Buntings were at the Butt. 5 Blackcaps, a Chiffchaff and a Brambling were at Port of Ness. 2 Bramblings were at Eoropie. 3 Whooper Swans, 24 Barnacle Geese, 1 Pink-footed Goose, 2 Goldeneye, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Coot and a Black-tailed Godwit were at Loch Stiapabhat.
North Uist: The adult American Golden Plover is still on Baleshare today in fields opposite Loch na Paisg. 49 Black-tailed Godwits and a Coot were at Loch Sandary.
South Uist: A juvenile White-rumped Sandpipers at North Bay (Mol Mor Sands) this afternoon.

16th October:
Lewis: A juvenile Long-billed Dowitcher was seen at Loch Stiapabhat this evening until 18:08 when it flew off high, calling. A Pied Flycatcher, 4 Chiffchaffs and a Fieldfare were in Port of Ness. A Jack Snipe was at the Butt, half a mile west of the lighthouse; also 6 Snow Buntings flew south-west there. 7 Blackcaps were also around Ness including 2 at the Butt lighthouse.
St. Kilda: A Bluethroat was seen on HIrta.
North Uist: The Myrtle Warbler was seen at Callernish again today; also 2 Blackcaps, 3 Chiffchaffs, 2 Fieldfare, a Brambling and a Jack Snipe there. 3 White-rumped Sandpipers and a Buff-breasted Sandpiper were seen on Berneray on the flooded machair at NF897807 although mobile. A Cackling Goose was seen at Loch Paible. A Swallow was seen on the west side of Grimsay this evening.
South Uist: A few birds south at Ardvule this morning included 1 Arctic Skua, 3 Arctic Terns, 10 Barnacle Geese, 5 Long-tailed Ducks, 5 Great Northern Divers while 73 Black-tailed Godwits in the north bay. 2 White-rumped Sandpipers at North Bay (Mol Mor Sands) this morning.
Barra: 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, female Ring Ouzel, 3 Blackcaps and a Woodcock were at Glenn. A Chiffchaff was at Garrygall. A Yellow-browed Warbler and 3 Blackcaps were in Castlebay. 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, 3 Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Fieldfare were at Creachan. The Red-breasted Flycatacher was still at Morghan. In total 8 Yellow-browed Warblers were seen on the island today and 30 Blackcaps, 1000 Redwings and 6 Fieldfare.

15th October:
North Uist: A juvenile Laughing Gull flew north along the road just south of Ahmore this afternoon around 15:30 although couldn't be relocated. The Snow Goose was at Balranald. A drake Pintail was on Loch a Roe, Balranald. A Yellow-browed Warbler was at Grenitote in the memorial plantation. 2 Pomarine Skuas were seen from the ferry between Lochmaddy and Tarbet this afternoon; plus another 2 between there and Skye. A Myrtle Warbler was seen at Callernish this morning although unfortunately news wasn't widely put out until after dark
Benbecula: 6 Pink-footed Geese were at Borve.
South Uist: 7 White-rumped Sandpipers! and a Pectoral Sandpiper were at Ardivachar.
Barra: The juvenile Ring-necked Duck was seen at Tangasdale. 2 Yellow-browed Warblers and several Bramblings were on the island. A Whinchat was seen on Vatersay. 12 Pink-footed Geese were seen at Allasdale and 16 were seen at Eoligarry.
Insects: Acleris rufana was trapped in South Glendale last night.

14th October:
Lewis: A Waxwing was in Port of Ness around midday; also Blackcap, Chiffchaff and 2 Bramblings present. A Swallow and a Hen Harrier were seen at the Butt this morning. 6 Whooper Swans and 45 Pink-footed Geese flew south at Eoropie. A Pied Flycatcher, Willow Warbler and 80 Redwings were seen in South Dell.
North Uist: A Snow Goose was seen on Loch Scarie. A Pintail was on Loch nam Feithean. A Wheatear was on the shore at Balranald.
South Uist: 2 White-rumped Sandpipers were in North Bay (Mol Mor Sand) this morning. Later 3 White-rumped Sandpipers and 2 Pectoral Sandpipers were on pools at Ardivachar. A Yellow-browed Warbler was by St Michael's Church, Ardkenneth. 80 Black-tailed Godwits were by Loch Bornish. A Snow Bunting and 2 juvenile Arctic Terns were at Stoneybridge. A Yellow-browed Warbler was seen on Eriskay again today.
Barra: A Red-breasted Flycatcher was at Morghan today; also 4 Yellow-browed Warblers, 20 Bramblings, Fieldfare and Grey Wagtail were on the island whilst 6 Chiffchaffs and 5 Blackcaps at Creachan. 10 Pink-footed Geese were at Allasdale. 8 Brent Geese were at Traigh Mhor. The 2nd winter Iceland Gull was at Craigston.

13th October:
North Uist: 2 White-rumped Sandpipers and 2 Cackling Geese were at Loch Paible this afternoon. 100 Pink-footed Geese flew south-east over Balranald; also 6 Pink-footed Geese amongst Greylags here and a Wheatear on the shore. 6 Black-tailed Godwits and a Coot were at Loch Sandary. A Yellow-browed Warbler, male Blackcap, Treecreeper and Fieldfare were at Langass Lodge whilst 14 Whooper Swans flew south. An American Golden Plover was seen on Baleshare.
South Uist: The Rose-coloured Starling was in Lochboisdale; also 36 Barnacle Geese and a Fieldfare were seen there. 2 Bramblings and a Blackcap were seen at Bornish. A Yellow-browed Warbler was seen on Eriskay.
Barra: The juvenile Ring-necked Duck was seen at Tangasdale; also a Ring Ouzel, Brambling, 2 Lesser Whitethroats and a Yellow-browed Wrabler were on the island.

12th October:
Note: Large numbers of Redwings are being seen in many places around the island e.g. 300+ on Grimsay yesterday.
St. Kilda: The female Snowy Owl was on Hirta; also 40 Snow Buntings.
North Uist: Around 300 Barnacle Geese flew south-east over Carinish this afternoon. A Yellow-browed Warbler was at Langass Lodge. 2 Cackling Geese / Canada Geese were seen at Loch Paible.
Benbecula: A dake Pintail, 36 Gadwall and 26 Shovelers were on Coot Loch.
South Uist: A Snow Bunting was at Ardvule; also off there a southerly passage today a included 19 Gannets, 3 Great Northern Divers, 4 Red-throated Divers, 114 Barnacle Geese, 3 Gadwall, 1 Teal, 28 Wigeon, 18 Tufted Duck, 14 Scaup, 2 Red-breasted Merganser, 3 Long-tailed Duck, 10 Kittiwakes and a juvenile Arctic Tern. 2 White-rumped Sandpipers were seen at Ardivachar late afternoon and 1 was seen on LA2. 140 Barnacle Geese flew south over Bornish at lunchtime. A Chiffchaff was at Loch Eynort and 1 was at Snishival. The Rose-coloured Starling was in Lochboisdale.
Barra: 50 Barnacle Geese flew south-east at Ardmhor this morning. The Ring-necked Duck was at Tangasdale.
Other: A small bat was seen in South Glendale just before dark.
Marine Sightings: 6 Bottle-nosed Dolphins moved north off Ardvule this morning.

11th October:
Lewis: 22 Snow Buntings were at the Butt.
North Uist: A Yellow-browed Warbler was seen at Claddach Knockline. A Yellow-browed Warbler and a male Blackcap were at Langass Lodge. 418 Barnacle Geese and 21 Whooper Swans were at Grenitote.
South Uist: A White-rumped Sandpiper was at LA 2 again today. Birds south at Ardvule were 329 Gannets, 4 Great Northern Divers, 29 Red-throated Divers, 123 Barnacle Geese, 10 Wigeon, 1 Teal, 2 Long-tailed Duck, 17 Red-breasted Mergansers, 57 Auk sp., 12 Guillemots, 4 Razorbill, 1 Black Guillemot, 152 Kittiwakes, 2 Arctic Terns. Also 4 Snipe and 13 Golden Plover arrived off the sea.
Barra: The Subalpine Warbler was still at Nasg today; also a Pied Flycatcher and Ring Ouzel were on the island. An Iceland Gull was seen at Craigston.
10th October:
Lewis: A Hornemann's Arctic Repoll was at Port of Ness. A juvenile American Golden Plover was at Loch Ordais this morning briefly before flying off; also a Gadwall and Chiffchaff there. A Willow Warbler was in Bragar. 15 Barnacle Geese and 2 Long-tailed Ducks flew south past Labost. A Fieldfare was seen at Miavaig. 5 Whooper Swans flew west at Leurbost late this afternoon.
St. Kilda: A Ring Ouzel, 150 Redwings, 2 Fieldfare and 25 Snow Buntings were in Hirta.
North Uist: A Snow Goose, 34 Barnacle Geese, 4 Lapland Buntings and 44 Black-tailed Godwits were on the machair at Balemore / Rubh' Arnal. Another 120 Barnacle Geese and 222 Pink-footed Geese flew south there late morning. 2 Black-tailed Godwits and a Coot were at Loch Sandary. The Yellow-browed Warbler and Chiffchaff were still in Langass Lodge today; also 32 Whooper Swans and 250 Pink-footed Geese flying over. A Yellow-browed Warbler was in Lochmaddy.
South Uist: A Ring Ouzel was at Ardnamonie this morning. 2 White-rumped Sandpipers were at LA2 this evening. A female Ring Ouzel was at North Loch Eynort this morning. Species south at Ardvule this morning included 22 Gannets, 8 Great Northern Divers, 1 Black-throated Diver, 2 Red-throated Divers, 4 Barnacle Geese, 5 Whooper Swans, 1 juvenile Glaucous Gull, 44 Kittiwakes and 28 Auk sp; also 2 Black-tailed Godwits present.
Barra: The Subalpine Warbler was trapped and ringed today at Nasg. The Ring-necked Duck was at Tangasdale and 40 Barnacle Geese were at Borve. 15 Pink-footed Geese flew past Allasdale.

St. Kilda: The female Snowy Owl was seen on Hirta again today.
North Uist: A Barn Owl, Yellow-browd Warbler and Chiffchaff were at Langass Lodge. A Fieldfare and male Blackcap were in Lochmaddy. The Little Egret was still at Loch Sandary. A Snow Goose was seen at Balranald and a Common Tern at Aird an Runair.
South Uist: Birds south at Ardvule this morning included 304 Gannets, 7 Great Northern Divers, 4 Red-throated Divers, 1 Fulmar, 1 Manx Shearwater, 1 Sooty Shearwater, 1 Leach's Petrel, 3 Long-tailed Ducks, 45 Auk sp., 24 Razorbills, 4 Guillemots, 24 Kittiwakes, 1 Pomarine Skua, 4 Bar-tailed Godwits and a Purple Sandpiper. 5 pale-bellied Brent Geese and a Common Tern were off Balgarva. A Little Egret was on the South Ford.

St. Kilda: The female Snowy Owl was seen on Hirta again today.
South Uist: A Leach's Petrel, 2 Sooty Shearwaters, juvenile Common Tern and juvenile Arctic Tern flew south at Ardvule this morning; also heading south there were 392 Gannets, 15 Great Northern Divers, 3 Red-throated Divers, 6 Black Guillemots, 9 Guillemots, 21 Razorbills, 49 Auk sp., 4 Kittiwakes, while 2 Eiders and a male Long-tailed Duck flew north.
Barra: A female Subalpine Warbler was seen at Nasg today; also a Yellow-browed Warbler and then Ring-necked Duck still present. The 2nd winter Iceland Gull was at Craigston.

North Uist: 14 Lapland Butings were at Balranald today. A Little Egret, Coot, 34 Black-tailed Godwits and a juvenile Lesser Black-backed Gull were at Loch Sandary.
South Uist: 63 Black-tailed Godwits and 12 Pink-footed Geese were at Ormiclate. 2 pale-bellied Brent Geese were off Hebridean Jewellery. Species south at Ardvule this morning included 557 Gannets, 7 Great Northern Divers, 4 Red-throated Divers, 1 Pochard (male), 2 Great Skuas, 1 Arctic Skua, 39 Auk sp, 16 Guillemots and 22 Razorbills.
Barra: A juvenile Ring-necked Duck was on Loch na Doilinn, Tangasdale. A Yellow-browed Warbler was new in at Glen.
6th October:
Lewis: 2 Bramblings were seen in Lionel.
St. Kilda: The female Snowy Owl was seen on Hirta again today.
South Uist: A Yellow-browed Warbler was in South Glendale. 4 Lapland Buntings were seen near Ardivachar. 6 Pink-footed Geese were at the south end of Loch Bee. A Chiffchaff was at Loch Eynort. A Yellow-browed Warbler was seen at Druidibeg.
Barra: 4 Yellow-browed Warblers, a Pied Flycatcher and an Iceland Gull were seen today.
5th October:
Lewis: 8 Lapland Buntings were at Eoropie and a Snow Bunting was at the Butt.
St. Kilda: The female Snowy Owl was seen on Hirta again today.
South Uist: 2 Common Scoter, 132 Gannets and 2 juvenile Common Terns flew south at Ardvule this morning while a Great Northern Diver and a Great Skua flew north. The Rose-coloured Starling is still in Lochboisdale.
Insects: 21 Small Wainscots, 6 Angle Shades, a Rosy Rustic and a Dark Sword-grass were caught in South Glendale last night.
4th October:
Lewis: A Lesser Whitethroat was in the lighthouse compound at the Butt; also 3 Snow Buntings there. An arrival of Redwings included 50 in South Dell. 30 Pink-footed Geese dropped in at Gress this morning.
South Uist: An adult Rose-coloured Starling was in Lochboisdale. Birds south today at Ardvule included 514 Gannets, 3 Great Northern Divers, 51 Kittiwakes, 2 Arctic Skuas, 1 Black Guillemot; also a single Redwing was present. A Yellow-browed Warbler was in South Glendale this evening.
Barra: 3 Yellow-browed Warblers were seen on the island today

3rd October:
Lewis: 100 Pink-footed Geese flew east over Eoropie this afternoon. 2 Snow Buntings were at the Butt.
North Uist: A Turtle Dove was seen in Sollas.
Barra: A Pomarine Skua flew south off Brevig this afternoon and a Snow Bunting was on the roadside there. The Pied Flycatcher was still at Creachan.
2nd October:
Harris: A Swallow and a couple of Redwings were in Northton this morning.
S. Kilda: The female Snowy Owl was seen on Hirta again today; also a Willow Warbler and 2 Snow Buntings present.
North Uist: A Snow Bunting was on the beach at Sollas.
South Uist: A Black-tailed Godwit was at Ardvule.
Barra: Yellow-browed Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat, Garden Warbler, Pied Flycatcher, Tree Sparrow, Brambling and around 30 Redwings were seen on the island today.
1st October:
Lewis: A Lesser Whitethroat was in Port of Ness.
Syt. Kilda: The female Snowy Owl was seen on Hirta again today.
South Uist: A Lapland Bunting and at least 8 Pink-footed Geese were along the west side of Loch Bee. 90 Pink-footed Geese flew south at Howmore. 2 Pink-footed Geese, 20 Whooper Swans and 2 Pintail were by Loch Bornish. 2 Pink-footed Geese were in Askernish. 40 Pink-footed Geese flew south-east at Kildonan. A Swallow and 2 Pink-footed Geese were at Ormiclate. 694 Pink-footed Geese and 15 Whooper Swans arrived in off the sea at Ardvule between 07:50 - 11:45. A Black-tailed Godwit was at Ardvule and a male Long-tailed Duck flew north. A Yellow-browed Warbler was in Bornish where 185 Pink-footed Geese and 15 Whooper Swans flew over this morning before 10:30 am. A Yellow-browed Warbler was at Loch Eynort.
Barra: A Yellow-browed Warbler and a Woodcock were at Creachan. A Yellow-browed Warbler was at Ardmhor. A Pied Flycatcher was at Morghan.
